Frankfurt Fundraiser and Raffle to Honor Late, Beloved Agent

Thursday, October 16, 2008 at 11pm in the lobby bar of the Frankfurter Hof Hotel a raffle will be held to raise money for the Tracy Walker Howell Memorial Fund.

Howell, a literary agent and Director of Foreign Rights for The Gernert Company, died February 8, 2006. She was known to many as the manager of world publishing rights for John Grisham.

The grand prizes include a week in one of several vacation homes in Italy, France, and the US, as well as jewelry, a custom drawing by Matteo Pericolli, and a Sony e-reader.

Raffle tickets are 20 Euros each can be purchased in advance of the drawing via the website, via the committee, and in person at various locations during the Fair.

The organizers are also offering them in advance online: 3 for $50, 7 for $100, and 10 tickets for $150.

Monies raised will go toward endowing a scholarship at Howell's alma mater, Middlebury College, for a student to study for a year at the C.V. Starr-Middlebury School in Italy.
